Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson Both lawyers. As a child she was enrolled in her school, the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. Emma had a dream to be a professional actress when she was just aged six. She was enrolled at Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford, an acting institute that offers part-time classes. From the age of 10 she was involved and performed the main role in numerous Stagecoach Productions and School Plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone, the 2001 film adaption of J.K. Rowling's bestselling book was cast in 1999. Emma was found by casting agents via Emma's Oxford theatre instructor. After eight consecutive auditions, producer David Heyman told Emma and co-applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they were cast for the roles of the three leads Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. Emma's first cinematic appearance was with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the year 2001. It beat all previous records in terms of the opening weekend and sales, and it was the highest-grossing film of 2001. The film was praised by critics and the performance of three young stars. The Daily Telegraph, an important British publication, described Emma's performance "amazing". Then Emma was nominated for five awards for her performance in the film winning her the Young Artist Award for Leading Actress of a Younger in the feature Film.
