Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig 21st September, 1983). 21 in 1983) is a famous American actress. Most notably, she was the character Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost television show, and Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. After the divorce of her parents the actress left Worthington in Ohio and moved at Los Angeles. As she struggled financially, she was able to land her first acting gig as Rachel's Room's main character the online video series Rachel's Room in 2001. Her portrayal in the role of Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder, in the television movie Murder in Greenwich in 2002, earned her an award nomination for the Young Artist Award. In 2004, Grace was chosen to play Shannon Rutherford in the television show Lost on which she was a main character for the initial two seasons winning an Screen Actors Guild Award shared with the cast of the ensemble. The show ended in 2005 and Grace was keen to work as a film actress, and had starred opposite Tom Welling in The Fog in 2005. She has appeared as Kim Mills in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club as well in 2007 as well as in Taken alongside Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills. The role was reprised in Taken 2 (2012) and Taken 3 (2014).She played the leading role in Alice In Malice in Wonderland a modern adaptation of Lewis Carroll's book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace played the role of Shannon in Lost in the series, which included the conclusion. The year was 2013, and she appeared in the sixth season of Californication. She plays Faith who's an avid stargazer as well as a socialite. Hank Moody, played by David Duchovny, falls for her. She's a Gyllenhaal, the daughter of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), she is a bit younger in age than Jake Gyllenhaal. The career of her mother began when she was an early teenager, with small role in films made from her father. Also, she worked alongside her brother on the 2001 famous movie Donnie Darko. Her next appearance was in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was nominated for a Golden Globe Award in both the action drama Sherrybaby (2005) and the romantic comedy Secretary (2002). The two movies were critically acclaimed. The Dark Knight, which was released in 2008, following several highly successful films including World Trade Center (2006), brought Gyllenhaal greater fame. After her successful performance as a mother who is not married on the screen in Crazy Heart (2009), she was awarded the Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. The debut of Gyllenhaal as a filmmaker and writer was in 2021 with The Lost Daughter, a psycho-drama in which she won the Venice International Film Festival Best Screenplay Award. In addition, she was awarded the Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.
